Help Save Gracie and Her Pups!

Gracie and her 4 puppies were rescued from the county shelter. She is anorexic, has a uterine infection and severe diarrhea, and may have mange. She went to the emergency vet on 8/17 and was treated with sub-cutaneous fluids and put on antibiotics. The cost for this was $293, and it was charged to a credit card and will need to be reimbursed. Gracie will require ongoing veterinary care (including possibly an emergency spay surgery due to uterine infection). If her hair loss isn't caused by malnutrition, she will need treatment for mange. Her 4 puppies are being bottle-fed because her condition is so poor that she cannot nurse them. She is going to the vet on 8/18 to determine a treatment plan, but we need donations to pay for this. We will have a better idea of exact veterinary costs after this visit, but the emergency vet estimated $1500-$2000 depending upon whether or not she has mange. Please help this poor dog, who would have died very soon if a very committed and wonderful foster mom hadn't stepped up to save her life. UPDATE:  Gracie is at the vet right now (8/18) being prepped for emergency surgery for pyometra, a septic uterine infection. She will be spayed at the same time. She's being tested for tick-borne diseases and is on multiple antibiotics and other supportive therapy. A little bit of good news: she doesn't have parvo, and her puppies are doing well.  Additional vet bills are now approx. $1900, bringing her total to $2,193.  We DESPERATELY need to raise the remainder of her vet bills in order to save her life. We withdrew $850 today (THANK YOU) to pay the vet a deposit up front. We need to raise an additional $1343. Please share with your friends to help us get there.
