20-year-old Cera was shot multiple times as she was attempting to close up for the night at her place of work. She was Life-Flighted to Altoona hospital, where she has undergone numerous surgeries already and has a long road of recovery ahead of her. The following is written by Cera's grandpa, Frank Bianco:

Cera's Story

It is so hard to bear the sight of her laying in that hospital bed, fighting for her life, with the myriad of tubes and hoses and wires attached to every part of her anatomy. Tubes carrying fluid in and out of her. Some tainted red. Wires connected to the many different monitors, reporting her condition. Hoses supplying her with vital oxygen, but blocking her ability to communicate. But amazingly, during those brief periods of consciousness, Cera finds a way to convey her "I love you" to all of us.

She loved everyone openly and without prejudice, especially those that others did not, and that led to her pain and suffering. Now she has scars on her knees from crawling in the dirt and stones to find someone to save her, carrying more severe wounds inside her, inflicted by someone she thought she was being kind to. But Cera is headstrong and even this will probably not change her love for others.

You certainly do not have to guess how she feels about you, as her thoughts flow, out loud, from her. And those around her light up at the sight or sound of her, especially the joy of her life, her baby boy Brandt. He just vibrates at the sound of her voice or the sight of her face, and she shakes as much right back.

But things haven't been the same since last Wednesday night, when this nightmare began. He cries for his "Ma Ma," but she cannot comfort him by answering, "My baby." Prayerfully it will be like that again someday.

If you are able, please be generous with your donations to help support Cera in her time of need. If you cannot give financially, please support her and her loved ones with your prayers. There is power in prayer and miracles happen.

God bless,
Cera's family
