Help Chuck’s Family

Donation protected
Chuck Prosser died on Sunday, November 5th after being critically injured in a traffic accident a few days earlier. He was 38 years old.

Chuck leaves behind his adoring wife, Jessica, and beautiful children, Ember (7), Jordan (4), and Charlie (2). Jessica was a Houston-area elementary school teacher until she left to start their family, leaving Chuck as the sole provider for the family. This leaves the family not only in a terrible state of grief, but in a frightening spot financially. Jessica was hesitant to allow me to start this fund for her, because they are very private and proud. But she reluctantly agreed, knowing she wanted to do what is best for their children.

If you can help this wonderful family, we would all be grateful. Chuck and Jessica are two of the kindest, most loving, joyful people I know. They have been a blessing in my life since I met them 15 years ago. I can’t help but smile when I think of them, and my heart is breaking for this sweet family’s loss.

From Jessica:

To us, Chuck was Superman. He was strong, playful, hard-working, brilliant, silly, and loved to give people a hard time. He loved to learn, cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, debate politics, throw his son in the air to the point of exhaustion, get his hands dirty, slow dance with his daughters, spend time outside (but not when it was hot...he hated to sweat), make his kids giggle, and relentlessly flirt with me - even when I wasn't in the mood. He was a loyal friend and family man who would do anything for anyone, and he was always motivated by what was right.

I have loved Chuck since the 8th grade, and there is an aching in my heart that may never go away. I am so thankful that he chose me to be his wife and that we were blessed with three amazing children who are a beautiful blend of the best and worst of us. We will keep his spirit alive by talking about him, doing things together that he would've enjoyed, and knowing that he's rooting for us to be strong and live joyful, prosperous lives.

Chuck always dreamed of a snow-covered forest in western Pennsylvania, and I'd like to think he's there...at peace and eternally young.
