Helping One Family

Hey there....This is Tim, and I'm trying to facilitate doing something for someone that will change the course of his life, and the lives of his family.  His name is Miguel Lopez, and he is a good Man.  Miguel is a highly skilled painter/drywaller, and I have known him a few years.  He's a devoted husband, father, and friend....he's also a hard worker who comes to work with a smile on his face every day...despite the challenges he and his family are facing. 

Miguel has come across some financial setbacks.  He earns enough of a living to house his wife and two small chidren (his oldest child pictured above) in a weekly rate motel in a less-than-desirable area.  He grinds out whatever wages he can...making enough to get through another week of feeding and clothing a family of four.  His wife is unable to work, as she has nobody who can care for the children in her absence.  Miguel and his family are consistently seperated from Homelessness by whatever money he has in his hand at the end of every long workday.

Here's the thing....this is a good man, and he needs some help.  He has gone to his Church for help, and they have nothing for him.  Due to outstanding unpaid minor legal obligations, he does not have a valid Driver's License nor can he qualify for Social Services until his outstanding fines are paid up.  He cannot square that debt, as his priority is keeping his children fed and housed. Moving into a new place is expensive, and he cannot save up that money while he is just trying to get through another day.

I'm trying to raise enough money to get him back on track.  He does not know I am starting this Fund Drive.  Miguel is not a drug-user, nor an addict of any kind...not a gambler, not frivolous,...he is a man....a human being...that is trying so hard to provide as best he can for his family.  All I know, is that his children need a permanent home, and he needs a little help.

I am fully aware that all of us have our own obligations, and that you have never met Miguel and his family.  I also know that there is a surplus of very worthy causes that need funding in this very complicated world.  Miguel just needs a break....and I'd like to help that happen.  If you can help, you can feel assured that the effort would be greatly appreciated.
