Funeral for Lionel Innes

Lionel Innes in his 80's, was tragically taken from his family on Friday 9th of November.
He was out in his boat 200 metres from the shore when his boat capsized and he drowned.
He was out collecting his lobster pots to give to his Son later that day as a 50th birthday gift.
What should have been a joyful day quickly turned into a devastating tragedy for his family.
Sadly Lionel did not have a life Insurance policy or funeral insurance and his family are struggling to meet the financial burden of his funeral costs.
Betty does not have savings to cover the cost of the funeral and is considering selling her car and anything else she can think of to make ends meet.
Neither of them had a Superannuation nest egg to rely on and were living week by week on their aged pensions.
The family is uncomfortable asking for help but desperately needs it at this difficult time.
The funeral and wake cost has been estimated at approximately $10,000 but any donation no matter how small would be very much appreciated in helping this lovely Lady and her family celebrate dear Lionel's life in a manner he deserves.
A little bit about Lionel...
Lionel lived in coffs Harbour for 68 years and made a living as a timber cutter.
He never celebrated his birthday as his mum died on that day. This sad coincidence is now shared by his son Troy.
