100 miles in January

Hi, we are BGU women’s rugby team and every year we support one of our local charities.  This year we are again supporting EDAN Lincs (ending domestic abuse now).  As a young group of women we feel this is an incredibly important charity, there is a vast need for any help they can get especially since domestic abuse has risen significantly over the last few months during this very difficult time. 

From the beginning of lock down April 2020 – June 2020 21% off all offences recorded by the police where domestic abuse related. The police recorded 206,492 violence against the person offences flagged as domestic abuse related between March and June 2020, which was a 9% increase from the same period in 2019.

A handful of our team are hoping to take part in raising money by running/ walking 100 Miles through the Month of January!
