Lea's Medical Modifications

Donation protected
I have a friend in her 40s who is a single parent with a 9 year old daughter. One day a few weeks ago her arm stopped working. Next thing she knew she needed a cane to get around. For a while she was able to use a scooter. When she is discharged from the hospital (she's been undergoing some pretty grueling tests) she is hoping to use an electric wheelchair that seems quite awesome and may fit the bill.

The doctors have done some more intensive testing and are labeling the condition as a progressive motor nerve disorder, like Barre Guillain or Multiple Sclerosis. Some kind of rare autoimmune disorder.

Her number one wish is to be able to stay home and take care of herself and her daughter. Her fabulous brother has been able to access some of the money that you donors have accumulated. He's been working on home modifications like the shower Lea has been dreaming about which is now becoming a reality.

I'm the lucky one who set this up, so every time you donate my phone has bells that go off. It's like the movie, "It's a Wonderful Life. " Each time the bells ring an angel gets their wings. You are Lea's angels. Thanks all for helping Lea be as independent as possible.
