Friends, Tammy Crosnoe (Gatewood) was a loving mother, a devoted wife, a true friend to many, and wonderful teacher to children.
Six weeks ago, she was diagnosed with leukemia. She literally only had a couple days’ notice from the time she learned this devastating news until she checked into the hospital to start an immediate aggressive 7 day 24 hour chemo treatment. She fought hard and strong, but in the end the chemo just caused too much damage to her body, and her fight was over.
I had the privilege to visit her in the hospital before complications started and we had a talk. You see, I am a Disney fanatic, and I try and take my family every year or two to Disney World on vacation. She always joked on my obsession with the "world", but told me that once she got done "kicking cancers ass" she wanted to take her girls there. I think in that moment she understood why I love building those memories with my child.
I wish that I could just open my checkbook and send her girls there. And frankly I am mad, ashamed, and disappointed in myself that i cannot. But what i can do is help with what I financially can and ask of you to help a little, whatever you can, even if it’s just a share on Facebook.
This would not only be fulfilling a wish of hers, but it would be a great chance for her husband (and my best friend) Adam to get away from all this devastation and spend some quality time with his daughters. I want to keep this a secret until(hopefully) enough funds are raised.
The amount I am asking for is for a 5 night Magic Your Way package, which includes accommodations at a Disney resort, theme park tickets, and 3 meals a day. This amount also includes airfare and enough left over for $100 a day for them to get some souvenirs.
I love this family, please help. Thank you.
