Jill Alaniz is a loving wife and stay at home mother of 3 beautiful babies.   During a normal workout, Jill thought she hurt her knee.  She wore a knee brace thinking it would eventually heal and she would be back to her normal, everyday routine.  Weeks go by and she continued to have knee pain so she went to the doctor only to find out she had a "suspicious spot" on her knee that needed to be biopsied.   Wait, what?  Biopsy?  Before the biopsy could be scheduled she had a fall that broke her femur.  She was taken to the hospital and the biopsy was performed.   BAM - it's CANCER.  The doctors did not want to fix the broken leg now that cancer was in the picture, but they felt like the cancer was isolated in her leg.  The physicians decided they needed a 2nd opinion from specialists at The Cleveland Clinic as to what type of cancer it was, and if it was in fact, isolated in her leg.  After staying in the hospital and anxiously waiting for over 2 weeks  with a broken leg, she was diagnosed with a very rare form of bone cancer called High-Grade Undifferentiated Pleomorphic Sarcoma.   This cancer is so rare that less than 5% of adults get it.  Due to it's aggressive nature, the treatment plan is a total of 28 weeks of chemotherapy with surgery on the femur at week 11 to repair and remove the rest of the cancer.  Jill does not have medical insurance.  You can imagine the hospital bills that are accumulating, not to mention having to find childcare for her babies while she is being hospitalized.   We  would like to raise money to help her and her family pay medical bills and also be able to pay for childcare for her children during this fight.  Any contribution would be so helpful and no amount is too small.
Also, will you join us in prayer and lift up Jill and her family to God?  Pray for peace and healing for Jill and to minimize her pain,  for guidance and wisdom for the treating physicians, support for her husband Ruben while he cares for the children while continuing to maintain his career, and please pray for her precious babies Corben, Carley, and Crimsen - comfort  for them while mommy is away and that they may find the best caregiver possible during her treatment.
