We live in the tiny settlement of Hope Town, Abaco islands in the Bahamas . My husband Robbie and I ( Max) with our son Apollo lost everything in Hurricane Dorian. Hope Town was ground zero, with winds over 225kmph hitting us. There were 18 recorded tornados.
Basically it’s rough, we lost our home, all our possessions, furniture, clothes and previous items. Apollo lost his crib, soft toys, puzzles, books, everything got either blown away or soaked .
Power has now been off since sept 1st ( 3months nearly) and we have no running water. Without AC , black mould grows on everything due to the tropical climate and damp climate conditions inside buildings .
Due to this health reason Apollo and Robbie are living on another island approx 25 flight away
The baby had several medical issues post Dorian caused by contaminated water .
We are desperate to rebuild our home , so we can live together as a family, so if you can help in anyway, either financial or by sending building materials or through having a skill to help us rebuild then please get in touch. You will forever be welcome as guest in our home.
