Children's Protection

I've been in family court for over 3 years now with a public defender. I originally completed my court menu and the court made numerous mistakes that resulted in repetitioning and that's now being held against me. My public defender is talking about withdrawing the application and petitioning again in another 6 months. Where as a paid attorney is talking about walking in there and getting me custody of my kids. This is all over medical Marijuana. My public defender says the judge is old school and won't give me my kids. The paid attorney says the judge has no choice the law is law. Please help me obtain the funds needed to skip the whole game of public defender in the family court system. I just want my kids home already. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a good mom.
