<div>Our hearts are heavy as we share that our friend Tera’s 14-year-old daughter, Danielle, has just been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). This news has come as a shock, and Danielle has already begun immediate, aggressive treatment to fight this devastating illness.

<div>Danielle is a kind, strong, and vibrant young girl who plays for SoCal Volleyball Club (formerly SD Beach). She’s been a dedicated athlete and teammate, and many of us have come to know and love her so much through our daughters' shared time on the court.

<div>Tera and Bryan are devoted parents to both Danielle and her brother, Jesse. As Danielle begins what will be a long and difficult journey ahead, her parents will need to be by her side every step of the way — which means taking significant time off work to support her through treatments, hospital stays, and recovery.
