Crystal's 2nd brain surgery

My name is Crystal Foumal and I am a 33 year old wife and mother.  I have been diagnosed with a rare brain condition called Chiari Malformation.

Chiari Malformation is a congenital structural problem at the base of the skull that affects the brain and spinal cord.  The lower portion of the skull is too small to accomodate the lower portion of the brain. As a result, a portion of the cerebellum called the tonsils is forced to protrude into the spinal column. This results in compression of the brain stem and spinal cord and interferes with the flow of spinal fluid.

I was diangosed with Chiari Malformation in April 2012 and had my first brain surgery in May 2012.  I was told if I didn't have this surgery, I would be paralyzed.  This left me unable to work for over a year following surgery.  I have had continued symptoms, constant 24/7 headaches for almost 2 years, nausea, balance problems, stabbing pains in the back of my head, shooting pains down my arms, problems with my memory, and many other symptoms.

I recently traveled to Milwaukee, Wisconson and saw a brain surgeon who specializes in Chiari Malformation.  After having multiple tests done, it has been determined that I need an additional (more complex) brain surgery.  Although this surgery is necessary, it will be a huge financial strain on my family and children.

My surgery is scheduled for October 6, 2014 and I will be required to stay in Wisconsin for close to 2 weeks following surgery, before I can fly home.  I am attempting to raise money to help with the cost of traveling back to Wisconsin to have this surgery performed, for my husband to be able to come with me and care for my after I get discharged from the hospital for up to 2 weeks in Wisconsin, his missed wages while caring for me, travel expenses, out of pocket costs my insurance will not pay, help with childcare after surgery as I will be unable to care for my children while my husband is at work, and financial upkeep as I will be unable to work for a period of time following surgery.

I would appreciate any help that anyone can give or words of encouragement as this is a hard thing to go through a 2nd time in 2 short years with small children.
