I am a rape survivor who became pregnant because of the attack. I have never seen my daughter as anything but my own beloved child. I chose to have my daughter and it is being used against me in court to take away my son.

At this time, I am going through an ongoing family court case with my very abusive former husband. During our marriage he threatened to involve my rapist in my daughter’s life if I left him or spoke up about his abuse. He also threatened to tell my daughter that she is a “rape baby.” Throughout the divorce and its ongoing post divorce family court case, he has repeatedly used my rape against me in court.

Because my children are from “different biological fathers”, not of my own free will, this is being exploited in the family court by my former husband.

I am a Co-Founder and Board Member for Hope After Rape Conception, and a staunch advocate for rape custody reform. Our mission is to help rape survivor mothers and their children. Unfortunately, the more I have advocated and spoken publicly for the laws to change in Florida and nationally to end the parental rights of rapists, the more my former husband has kept me from my son. This is a direct violation of a court order. I believe this is in an attempt to silence and intimidate me. It will not work.

My former husband is now bringing into the upcoming custody trial witnesses from my rape case. I successfully fought to keep this rapist from being involved in my daughter’s life, and it is being used against me to take away my son.

I need your help in raising enough funds to hire an experienced family law attorney who is very aware of the depth and complicated issues involved for all my children.
