Tim's Transplant Expenses

46-year old Tim Ford is happily married, has 6 children ranging in ages from 12-26,  and currently is on a waiting list for his 3rd liver transplant.  Why does he need ANOTHER  liver transplant?  That's hard to say, and still has the doctors scratching their heads and pulling their hair out.  He has never used drugs and does not drink. He does not have hepatitis or any autoimmune disease that has been able to be diagnosed.  We simply don't know why his liver decides to stop working.  (He thinks maybe he is an alien life form and we are just using human livers, which must be far inferior to what his species needs, while his wife thinks he has been watching too much sci fi!)

 Any donations made for Tim's Liver Expenses will be put mainly toward paying for a place for Tim to stay.  Tim had to move away from his family in Florida to be closer to Cleveland in January of this year.  He was lucky enough to have friends and family who were able to house him from January until July, but now he is staying at a long-term hotel suite very close to the hospital so that he can be close for the times he needs critical care.  He has been in and out of the hospital 5 times over the past 6 weeks.  While the cost of his housing is discounted, it is $60/day and this adds up very quickly.  His family has always managed to make ends meet on very little, but with two sets of living expenses to take care of, currently they are struggling.  Living with a chronic illness has it's fair share of difficulties, worrying about food and lodging shouldn't have to be one of them.
