Little Paco needs YOUR help!

Hello!
As some of you already know, Paco has been very ill for the past couple of weeks. At first, no one knew what was wrong with him. We went from diagnosis to diagnosis, trying different treatments, but nothing seemed to work.
As the first week went by, Paco stopped eat and drinking and started being lethargic and depressed.
Then, last Monday, Paco took a turn for the worse. Abscesses started popping out of his skin, all over his body, his glands started to swell and he stopped walking altogether.
After consulting different specialists from two veterinary clinics and doing multiple tests and biopsies, the suspected issue is "Sterile Nodule Panniculitis", a rare disease, which takes an extensive period of time (5-7 weeks) to test, specifically. If Paco responds to the steroid treatment that the veterinarian started yesterday, then it is the likely culprit, and we will proceed with that testing.
Yesterday, Paco also had a biopsy, which when tested, could rule OUT some things, including this specific fungus/bacteria. The biopsy test can take up to 5 days, but they are hoping to push results up to Friday. It won't identify the specific bacteria/fungus, but it could help rule OUT some things... so we proceeded with that one.
Another problem is that Paco cannot leave the hospital anymore as he is too sick, and we may not know the effect of the steroid shot for several days, so the vet would like to keep him until they have some indicators.
Here is the 'low' estimate for a day of Paco's care in hospital. Total daily requirement is $760.00/day, which does not include specialized testing.
This is just to keep him alive... until we know what this is.
Injection - in Hospital $266.65
Fluids IV SetUp $133.29
Fluids IV Daily Maint $59.48
Hospitalization - 24 hours $267.00
As the results of the tests/biopsies become available, we will proceed with the appropriate treatment/therapy, but these will likely be even more costly than his current care.
We are therefore asking you to help us help Paco!
