Save Ruby Peanut Surprise

Please help us save our beloved Ruby Peanut Surprise. Ruby is a 4 year old Christmas Eve baby and Emotional Support Animal who visits hospice units to bring comfort to those in need. Now she needs support from you.
Our daughter Ruby Peanut Surprise was blindsided with what is currently believed to be Leptospirosis, a bacterial infection that attacks the bloodstream and shuts down kidney function. She went from a vibrant companion on Monday, to a very sick puppy within hours. She is currently in the ICU at Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners in Manhattan where she is fighting for her life. She is trying to remain strong, but needs your help. The only treatment that can save her life is kidney dialysis, and this must happen immediately.
Ruby was the Chihuahua of the month featured on FamousChihuahua.com and also has her own Facebook page. She has a younger sister named Roxie, who Ruby also trained to be a support animal. She is a picky eater, but loves turkey bacon, chicken and rice. Like all strong ladies, she is the master of the house. She has the personality of an old soul, is wise beyond her years, and is full of love and comfort for others.
The cost of treatment is astronomical. The bills already accrued are a huge burden on our family; as Dad has started a new business, and Mom is a freelance ballet dancer waiting to start her first season at the Metropolitan Opera, which is currently in crisis due to massive contract negotiations. With this treatment, the Doctors give her an 80-90% chance of full recovery and feel confident that she can live on as she had before this horrible infection. Every bit of help goes a long way, and we are hopeful she can pull through with your generosity.
