Paige's Fight

Donation protected
Paige was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma (cancer) in January 2013 when her little baby girl was just under two months old. She took 3 drugs by infusion every 3 weeks. 4 chemotherapy infusions altogether. She then had a bilateral mastectomy (left breast was voluntary) in June with immediate reconstruction (tissue expanders). The surgeon removed 8 lymph nodes and 2 were positive for cancer. She then had 33 radiation treatments from the end of August through the middle of October. She had scans and there was no signs of cancer. She was "in remission". Her left tissue expander had ruptured some time through this. She had a new expander replaced in November and then finally implants on December 18th. We thought everything was over and our life was finally picking back up until on Valentine's day this year she had her appendix removed. It had ruptured and there was gangrene. She went home the next day but 3 days later had to be admitted for an abscess from the appendicitis. She was miserable and in lots of pain. She stayed for 10 days. After she got better we thought we were ok once again, doing better than ever. We even got to go to Pensacola Beach, Florida mid May. It was Paige and Olivia's first time to Florida and Olivia's first time to the beach. We had such a beautiful time :) Now it's July and she starts complaining of a pain in her back almost right on her spine. The PA scheduled a MRI August 5th and the next day she called Kevin with the results. He came home after work and broke the news. If felt good for Paige to not be the bearer of bad news for once lol. It was the cancer. It had returned. She is now stage IV (breast cancer metastasized to the bone) Their world, turned upside down once again... There must be a reason for this. Whatever it is, let God cradle them in his arms so they may feel his warmth and presence every step of the way. She had a PET scan August 12 which showed several lesions on her spine and a spot on her hip. They are meeting with the Dr tomorrow so we will update as things move along. This Go Fund Me account is for anything from medical bills, Dr. co-pays, gas, food, medicine, diapers for baby Olivia, Kevin missing days at work to be by her side, necessities, etc. Thank you, in advance, and may God bless you.
