Help Sara Beat Cancer

Sara DeMonti, a 36 year old mother to her beautiful three year old son named Hunter, step mother to two wonderful children (Marena, 14 and Nathan, 12),  devoted wife to her husband Dino,  was diagnosed on August 23rd, 2018 with colorectal cancer.  Her official diagnosis is Stage IV colorectal cancer with metastasis to her liver.  She will be visiting Sloan Kettering in NYC to get a treatment plan set up and return to Connecticut for IV chemotherapy, surgery and radiation.  This will be a long road of treatment but the doctors are hopeful that this is treatable and Sara will come out on top!

Sara was a full-time teacher at Somers Elementary School for many years up until her diagnosis.  She will be taking this school year off for treatment.   Sara's husband, Dino, has been a full time science teacher in West Harford for fifteen years. Medical and travel expenses are already adding up, and will continue to as Sara is in the very beginning of her journey.  In addition to having medical and travel expenses for appointments, we would like for her and her family to not have to worry about everyday life costs during this time with a limited income.

Please help us rally around Sara, and shower her with our love during this difficult time.   I will do my best at updating this page to keep everyone apprised as to how Sara is doing! Thank you in advance.
