Free Carlos Corral!

Carlos Perm Corral was unlawfully detained by Phoenix Police on 8/12/14.  He is currently detained at the durango Jail and has an ICE hold, because he has a work permit through the DACA program.  He is being charged with possession of marijuana for individual use.  He was pulled over while driving near his house with some friends, racially profiled in his own neighborhood.  His friend says, "The cops were agressive, trying to provoke us to be agressive.  When we spoke on our rights, they became even more furious. They ask why the community don't trust police. Why? Because they approach us in the the most unethical ways. Carlos didn't even do so much as raise his voice and he gets pinned to the floor and arrested. Lo mas triste is that this happens everyday to our people."
Carlos is a longtime Puente member, part of the Puente Ink art collective, and works with Team Awesome.  He always does whatever he can to help his community, now it's time for us to help him.  He needs to raise $5,000 to pay an attorney to help get him out.  Every little bit helps.
