      Ferenc Czene: His birthright!     (Hungarian Biographical Documentary Film)

      We are preparing a biographical documentary film of the remarkable life history of the recently deceased 1956 Hungarian Freedom Fighter, Ferenc Czene.

     “A real revolutionary! He had fought in the 1956 Revolution with many of his fallen and surviving companions. Their struggle began the fall of communism. Ferenc Czene’s life is also the life of many Hungarian Revolutionaries. This film shows how much our Freedom Fighters did for our Fatherland, our little Hungary on October 23, 1956.”

    The filming of the more then 17 hours of interviews was started in 2011 at several locations in Hungary, at the Czene Tanya near Gyula, and various venues around Los Angeles, California.

     In order to purchase American archive film-materials, to digitalize the already obtained film clips, the creation of the film-music and the remaining cost of the editing, we would like to ask for your financial support, so that we be able to complete this document film about an unparalleled life story.

     The film introduces Ferenc Czene from his early student years through the very beginning of his participation in the 1956 Revolution and War of Independence.

     His work in the immigration in Los Angeles, his work at the „Precise of California NASA program”, at Panavision’s launch of the underwater camera-case, the 70mm camera viewfinder.

     He took part in the construction of the 1956 Memorial Obelisk and the Wallenberg Memorial, both in Los Angeles. He helped save the century old Los Angeles Hungarian House; took part in the announcement of Ronald Reagan’s Star Wars plans in 1982, which he attended.  

     He was one of those inviting and welcoming József Antal Hungarian Prime Minister visiting Los Angeles in 1990, and thereafter his own repatriation to Hungary; the construction and domestic political and cultural activity at the Czene Tanya, ‘till his untimely passing away on June 28, 2018.

     The missing segments of the film will be obtained by searching for, and buying archive films in the United States; after all, 60 years of joint American and Hungarian history is available here.

     Czene Ferenc: A Születés Jogán!    (Magyar életrajzi dokumentumfilm)

A nemrég elhunyt Czene Ferenc 56-os forradalmár életéről életrajzi dokumentumfilm készül.

     “Egy igazi forradalmár! Végig harcolta az 1956-os Magyar Forradalmat sok elesett és életben maradt társával. Az ő harcukkal kezdődött a kommunizmus bukása. Czene Ferenc élete sok magyar forradalmár élete is. Ez a film megmutatja kis hazánkért Szabadságharcosaink míly sokat tettek 1956 október 23-án.”

     2011-ben kezdtük el forgatni a több mint 17 óra interjú anyagát Magyarországon, Gyulán a Czene Tanyán, valamint Los Angelesben, Kaliforniában több helyszínen. A filmhez szükséges archív amerikai filmanyagok megvásárlásához, a kapott filmanyagok digitalizálásához, a film zenéjéhez valamint a film vágásához hiányzó kölségekhez szeretnénk az önök anyagi támogatását kérni, hogy be tudjuk fejezni ezt a páratlan életútról szóló dokumentumfilmet.

     A film bemutatja Czene Ferencet születésétől kezdve az “1956-os Forradalom és Szabadságharc”-ban vállalt szerepén keresztül, az emigrációban, Los Angelesben felvállalt munkáit is. A “Precise of California NASA program”-ban vállalt munkáját, a Panavision indulásánál a 70 mm. Camera-viewfinder és a vízalatti kameratok kialakításának történetét. A mintegy 100 esztendős Los Angeles-i Magyar Ház megmentésén túlmenően az 1956-os Los Angeles-i Obelisk építésében, és a Wallenberg Emlékmű felállításában Los Angelesben vállalt szerepét. A Ronald Reagan csillagháborús terveinek ismertetésekor 1982-ben jelen volt Washington D.C.-ben.

     Meghívója és egyike volt azoknak, akik Antal József Magyar Miniszterelnököt 1990-ben Los Angeles-i látogatáskor köszöntötték és a programját szervezték. Hazatelepülése után a Czene Tanya építésén dolgozott több évtizeden keresztül, mígnem hazai kulturális és politikai tevékenységét 2018. június 28-án bekövetkezett korai halála meg nem szakította. 

     A dokumentumfilm az Egyesült Államokban fellelhető archív filmanyagok felkutatásával és megvásárlásával válhat teljessé, hiszen ez 60 év Amerikai és Magyar közös történelem.
