Hello!
Here's my story;
I dedicated my life to Christ when I was 17 and I haven't looked back! I went on my first out of country mission trip in 2011 to Curacao, and I loved it so much I returned a second time the following summer in 2012. The August after I graduated high school in 2012 I moved to Texas to intern/school at Teen Mania's Honor Academy where I experienced the Lord in a deeper, more initmate way than I knew was possible, and after 11 months of self development and spiritual growth, I went on my 3rd mission trip to Nepal the summer of 2013, This trip was different than my first two, and not just because of the location. This time I was going for more than just a trip; I was going because I wanted to share a God's love with people who had never even heard His name! And there were more of those people than I could have ever imagined. 3 weeks wasn't long enough to reach these people. In fact, 3 months wouldn't be long enough. So after returning from Nepal and debriefing I realized felt a call to long term missions resonate in my soul. A calling that I realize now has been with me for many, many years!
After graduating from 2 different branches of the Honor Academy, I returned to SC and began working at Pointe North Community Church for more than a year, waiting for God to send me out. Last June, I applied to a mission organization called YWAM , and was accepted to attend a 5 month Disciplseship Training School (DTS) begining on January 12, 2016!
God opened an opportunity for me to work on cruise ship in the midwest to raise money for this DTS, and He provided me with $6,000! This was enough for my plane fair, and my lecture phase! What I'm asking you to support is my outreach phase, which is my missions.
I'm not looking for someone to send me on a vaction, or just give me money because I didn't fee like working for it. I'm looking for people who are want to invest in the Kingdom of God. Because there are those who go, and those who send.
Matthew 5:16 says "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Though I know that I'm going to change and grow during the next 5 months, this isn't for me, or about me. This is about the Kingdom of God. This is about being obedient to His word and faithful to His mission.
