To all of Lise's many friends, colleagues, and loved ones:
Many of you know about Lise's past year of struggles with cancer. Not only did she suffer through painful surgery, what followed was many months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Her and Larry believed they won this battle and were given a ray of hope with a "cancer-free (!!!)" bill of health earlier this Spring. Unfortunately, as is the case sometimes with this awful disease, it has returned with a vengeance. We can't imagine the emotional toll and fortitude it would take to go from being cautiously optimistic about life to hearing that the cancer is so agressive and terminal that it is highly unlikely that you"ll make it through to the new year.
If you are like us, sometimes the best and only thing you can do to show support and provide any level of comfort is to help with the small things any way you know how. With Lise and Larry's blessing, we are creating this page to help with a final wish she expressed to LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH with her loved ones (and maybe for just a brief moment forget....).
If she is physically able, she and Larry would like to attend her neice, Stacy Martin's, wedding in Jamaica this Fall. It would also serve as a way to celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary - it occured last year but the cancer robbed her and Larry of that opportunity.
Any amount you would like to contribute would be greatly appreciated and well used. If in the event she is unable to take this trip due to her rapidly declining health, the funds will go towards final arrangements.
