Cynthia's Spirit-Work Africa Trip

In May of 2016, our dear friend Cynthia was at the end of a weekend retreat, with her dear friend Kezia. The facilitator had encouraged them to travel to Sedona, just 2.5 weeks later, where her teacher, Malidoma Some, would be giving private divinations.
So, she set off on her journey, not knowing what to expect.
Kezia recalls: "I don’t think I’ll ever forget listening to the recording of her divination for the first time. We were driving back home from Sedona, taking those legendary winding roads down from the mountains. Where my divination had been filled with metaphors and complications, Malidoma’s words to Cynthia were crystal clear: She was to come with him to Africa, where she could receive the indigenous wisdom and healing tools from his teachers and elders there, and become a beacon of healing and transformation for her community in Southern Louisiana."
And that was it. Cynthia had to go to Africa.
At the time, it felt almost impossible. It had been hard enough getting away for 4 days to Arizona, let alone journey for weeks across an ocean into a foreign country. But if anyone knows Cynthia, they know that she doesn’t allow herself to ignore directions from her teachers for very long. And now, she is determined to fulfill her destiny and take this journey to Africa. All she needs is a little help.
Truly, helping Cynthia take this trip is not just something you are doing for her. It is an act that will inspire and empower an entire community and family of people, yourself included, who already benefit from and rely on her wisdom, her strength, her humor, and her heart.
