Hello Family and Friends!
My name is Cynthia L. Cross (55), and I've been battling Breast Cancer since April of 2013. Breast Cancer affects hundreds of thousands of women in America and across the globe every single day, and unfortunately takes the lives of far too many. My younger sister Yvonne Noel-Miller transitioned from this disease over a decade ago and I remember the pain and anguish she suffered like it was yesterday. My specific breast cancer treatments have included (but have not been limited to the following): A double radical bilateral mastectomy, months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, breast reconstruction, numerous ER visits, and more.
Because of various local medical logistical issues with my cancer treatment options and other key factors, I’ve decided to try the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Ok (CTCA). Treating cancer isn’t just one thing they do, it’s the only thing they do—every stage, every day. Expert care is delivered by skilled doctors and clinicians trained in cancer care, from diagnosis and treatment, to side effect management and survivorship.
The Cancer Treatment Center of America is a state-of-the-art hospital that possesses some of the most sophisticated tools and technologies available to diagnose and fight cancer. The era of precision cancer treatment is bringing cancer care to a cellular level. New and developing tools, such as advanced genomic testing, targeted therapy and immunotherapy, are designed to zero in on molecular characteristics that allow a tumor to grow or evade the immune system. I’ve already been assigned a team of multidisciplinary cancer experts who’ll work together, all under one roof, to design and deliver a recommended care plan tailored to my individual needs!
Thankfully, I’ve been blessed with very good medical insurance. However, there are significant out-of-pocket expenses that are not covered by my health care provider.
