Welcome to Jane's GoFundMe donation site. This has replaced the YouCaring donation page we previously had.
After a tumor was discovered in February 2017 in Jane's abdominal area, Jane was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. Because it was also detected in her bone marrow, she underwent an aggressive series of treatments over several months, beginning with chemotherapy, antibody treatments and radiation to work toward a cure. We feel grateful to live within an hour of Boston Children's Hospital and the Dana Farber Jimmy Fund Clinic where Jane's Primary team of Doctors and Nurses continue to be her first line care. Katie's 8-year tenure as an oncology nurse with Dana Farber also means that we have had a wonderful and personal support system however Katie has had to leave her job to care for Jane and Paige. After many modalities of treatment and partial surgery in Boston, Jane underwent her second surgery at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Hospital in NY City in April 2018 where the remainder of the tumor was removed. She is still recovering from surgery complications but is now enrolled in their vaccine clinical trial. The family travels to NY on a fairly regular basis for ongoing scans and to receive the vaccine which we hope will keep Jane in remission. Your donation in support of the family is greatly appreciated and will help with travel costs as well as day to day medical and general expenses.
