CyndeeWest Memorial

It is with great sadness and devastation to have to tell you that Cyndee West unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, 5 January 2021. This is a great loss to her family and friends. Not only was Cyndee a beloved daughter, mother, sister, C-Ma (grandma)and caretaker, her death also greatly affects the United Academics (UNAC) at the University of Alaska. Cyndee was a vital contributor to the University of Alaska and the glue that held her family together. This was a woman who new how to take charge, make change happen, and if she didn't know the answer to something she would work relentlessly until she was able to figure it  out... She was a selfless individual who always put others before herself no matter what. Even  if she wasn't able to help right away, her response was always "give me a few days and I will figure it out..." you always knew she was doing her best to help you, whether you were family or a stranger on the street, Cyndee welcomed all with open arms... "the more the merrier," as she would always say.

Cyndee's family is asking in lieu of flowers please make a donation to this GoFundMe account. This GoFundMe account is not only helping the family plan a celebration of her life but it will also assist her family with personal struggles due to her sudden passing; as a caregiver to one with special needs and the family she leaves behind... Any donations would be greatly appreciated and be the best way to honor our generous and courageous champion that we will all miss so dearly.
