Ron Robinson for City Council

My wife has always said. "If you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem." So instead of complaining about Lakeville City Council I have decided to run for the office of City Council. I plan to be part of the solution and win the seat with your vote and support.

I intend to create a climate of transparency concerning our local budget and spending process. As a small business man, I plan to advocate for local and small business owners and facilitate an environment within the city that enables compromise and collaboration to enhance our growth. One of my primary concerns is housing. My oldest is heading to college this year; upon his graduation I don’t foresee him returning to live in Lakeville. Why? I see him heading towards the cities or other neighboring towns where housing and small business opportunities are geared more towards his demographic. It is my personal belief that we are developing our children and farming them out to neighboring communities that have more job opportunities, entertainment, dinning and housing. It is my vision that Lakeville City Council will have a fundamental strategy to develop small business and housing within our community to attract our college graduates back to Lakeville and support our aging senior population.

Asking for money and support is never easy however; raising funds is essential for any campaign. I want to assure you that I will be a diligent representative of the community and prudent with your tax dollars and personal donations used to purchase the tools necessary to enlighten Lakeville residents why I am running for office and why one should vote for me.
I know we all have choices when we contribute funds and support to political campaigns. I hope you will consider funding my campaign and support my efforts to get involved in our local government and be a part of the future to help our city grow and thrive.
