This has been worst year. Began with Debbie spending the New Year in the hospital. Missed diagnosised with lung issues, well after second stint in the hospital it was determined she has stage 4 lung cancer spread to spine and lynph nodes.
We went to Moffitt Cancer center in Tampa. The Doctor said well their is no stage 5. The goal was to improve quality of life, not a cure. In the begining she was unable to walk into the hospital. This has improved, her breathing is better. Now the biggest problem is major pain throughout the spine.
While dealing with constant trips to specialist and chemo along with weekly testing, I have been limited with work.
Medical insurance is a big help but it is amazing what cancer treatment costs are. Her last test over $11,000
Some injection after chemo is billed at $6500 per treatment.
I am a very proud person who would rather help anyone than ask for help but at this point in time. I have to swallow my pride
