The CXSS recently moved from San Rafael to El Sobrante. The new location is inserted among a Senior center community. The community garden has completed phase 1, where we spent $1000. The CXSS Charity Group in fraternity and as volunteers did all the labor.
These are the list of materials we need for Phase 2 :
- 20 Metal Raised Garden Bed ✔️
- 80 soil bags ( 2 CU FT)✔️
- 40 mulch bags - Accomplished!! ( Donated by Tree Service Company)✔️
- 1 Gazebo 10 x 10
- 6 Wood bench ( 2 pax)
- 2 Water hose 100 ft
- 1 Greenhouse 8 x 10
- Garden Tools (shovel, Trowel, Pruner)✔️
- 1 Tool Shed - (Suncast 2 ft. 8 in. x 4 ft. 5 in. x 6 ft. Large Vertical Storage Shed - or similar)
- 1 Wheel barrel
- Young plants - Herbs, vegetables and fruit trees ( TBD)
- 4 Fence Wire ( 5 ft. x 100 ft. 14-Gauge Welded Wire)*
- 4 Galvanized Steel Fence T-Post Clips (25 per Bag)*
- 10 1-3/4 in. x 3-1/2 in. x 6 ft. Green Steel Fence T-Post*
- 30 metal post de 7ft.
- 30 concrete blocks

The Property manager, who is on board with the Community Garden project, has approved the location for phase 2. However, as a Non Profit, they also struggle with funds.
