Kimmi's Road to Recovery

We are asking for you to help our sister and best friend. Kim is a 26 year old Registered Nurse who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Breast Cancer at the beginning of May. She has a triple negative, stage II cancer requiring the full spectrum of treatment. In June, she underwent a double mastectomy surgery with the beginning stages of reconstruction. During this time, she had fertility treatments and egg harvesting incase the cancer treatments affect her fertility. Kimmi's chemotherapy began in July and consists of 8 very powerful, potent treatments; followed by 6 weeks of daily radiation. She has been unable to work since May and will not be able to return to her acute care nursing position until December at the earliest.

Her friends and family are posting this on her behalf as she is indepenent and too proud to ask for help. She is a lively, strong and beautiful woman but her strength is fading with each treatment.

Her courage and positive attitude make her an inspiration to us all. We are asking for your help so she can overcome this battle and reclaim her life. She is looking forward to getting back to work and helping others overcome their own medical battles.
