Boo’s vet bills

Last Tuesday, Boo started collapsing and urinating blood. On Wednesday, Mandys birthday, we took Boo to All Creatures and learned she has ITP. Later, it turned out she has Evans Syndrome. It came out of nowhere and it’s extremely life threatening. Basically, her immune system is attacking her platelets and red blood cells. Her oxygen level is low and she’s struggling. Everything is touch and go and we have no guarantees that she will make it from one day to the next. She’s been on fluids and steroids and had a blood transfusion. Saturday we got a call that she isn’t responding and she needs to see a specialist in Nashville. She’s had another blood transfusion and will possibly have more. We were told it’s 50-50 that she will pull through so we are taking the chance and not giving up on her. Everyone knows Boo is a gangsta and the most loved dog in all of Bowling Green. She’s the party dog and everyone wants her for sleepovers. I’ve had dogs my entire life but Boo is sweeter than any dog I’ve ever had of my own.  We are going to do everything possible to keep her going.

This GoFundMe seems high, and it is, but we are in much deeper than this. We took a plunge that we weren’t prepared for but we can’t give up on her. We don’t expect anyone to contribute and we aren’t asking anyone to, we just know how much everyone loves her so if you want to help with her treatments then we greatly appreciate it. There is no guarantees that she makes it, we’ve possibly spent thousands just to hope. It’s possible we will still be paying a bill two years from now on a dog that’s been gone for two years. It’s a risk we took and we have no regrets. Thank you for loving her and supporting her.
