I would like to Thank my friend Stacy for helping me create this page and all her help, thoughts and prayers.
We would also like to say "Thank you" to each person taking the
time to read our personal story.
We have been married 15 years and due to my infertility matters I can not conceive. We have always wanted to grow our family through adoption. We have prayed about this day for a very long time, when we finally recieved "the call" it felt wonderful, a true blessing. That special day will always be in our thoughts.
>>As I was trying to listen to our adoption attorney tears fell from my eyes, and my hands were shaking. I could not believe that this was finally happening. During our discussion, she also wanted us to be aware "the birthmother is very commited to our adoption plan", and we couldn't be more excited. The thought of having
2a.m.feeding and being kept up at night with a baby, is going
to be wonderful. To be able to say "We have finally been blessed with a birth mother match", feels amazing. Our birth mother recently had an ultrasound showing -we are going to have a baby boy- his name will be "Zachariah" he is healthy and growing fast.
I will continue to post updates as we go through this wonderful journey. We only have a few short weeks until our wonderful babies birth.
>> The first time I got to speak to our birth mother via phone I was so nervous and excited, just to hear her voice. It just made this whole journey seem even more real. We will never be able to express just how much she means too us. And that she will always be in our thoughts and prayers. After our conversation I just sat and smiled to realize "WE REALLY HAVE A SON COMING."
>>The following week there was another amazing day, we went and met with our attorney and got to speak to our wonderful birth mother again via phone. We are planning to have dinner with our birthmother very soon. And during our phone conference with her she even ask us to come to the next ultrasound and be with her during delivery. WOW - I was so happy I burst into tears, even my husband got teary eyed. She is such a blessing to our family.
>>Well just talked to our attorney, tomorrow is a huge day. Dinner with our birth mother. We are so excited, and VERY nervous...
we have been waiting, and now I have to admit we are a bit scared.
What do we say? What do we talk about? What questions can we ask?
Then we look outside our joy, and can not even began to think about what our birth mother must be feeling. We not only want to be there for our son, but for her also. This is a huge moment in this journey for all of us. ??????
>>Dinner with our birth mother was GREAT, she is an amazing person. We were worried it would be uncomfortable, but it wasn't at all. It was a very open conversation. She was so nice, she even let us feel our son kicking. That was unexpected, and yes, I started crying, and my wonderful husband had such a huge smile on his face. We are planning on getting together again real soon, I can't wait to not only have more time to bond with her, but to feel our son move and kick again.
>> We have just attended a Dr. appointment with our birthmother and every thing is going well. His heartbeat sounds strong and we got to fell him move and I even talked to him. We had some time to just talk and get to know each other more, and discuss every ones thoughts about the day of delivery. We have a very special ultrasound this next week, it will be the first time we get to see our son, and I can not wait.
>> We got special 4D ultrasound yesterday, there amazing. He even smiled for the camera, amazing and cute. It was a very special moment for us all.
>> We got to spend a lot of time with our birth mother this past week end, it was nice bonding time for us all. And of course we got to feel our baby kick and move around. I probably look like a crazy person because I always lean down and rub her belly and talk to him, but I can't help it we are so excited. Only 5 weeks to go!!!!
Being that we were recently matched, we are needing help raising money from our friends, family and community. We are working very hard and saving every penny we can, but just can't do this on our own. It is very hard for us to have to ask for financial assistance, but it is the only way to meet our goal by the time our baby boy is born. For those of you that do know us, you are already aware that we feel children are a true blessing and just how much this means to us. And for those who do not, we would like to share that being parents and finally having this opportunity to adopt means more than words could ever express. We would like to Thank each and every person for not only your financial donations, but your support and prayers.
