Help baby Nolan

Everyone meet baby Nolan "Chip".  Nolan was born 11 weeks early.   He was born on August 7, 2014 at 10:15pm weighing 2 lbs 15 oz and measuring a whopping 15 1/2 inches. 

Nolan is facing many struggles, he was born with omphalocele, a birth defect in which the infant's intestine or other abdominal organs stick out of the belly button (navel).   His heart is the biggest issue. He has a VSD, ASD & PDA. Also a double outlet right ventrical (DORV). Lastly, his heart is slightly enlarged and misplaced. His omphalocele is healing itself and is the least of their worries. I might also ask that you mention his father, Andy, as he is doing a very good job and working very hard to provide for his new family and can't be here as much a he would like.

Doctors are wanting Nolan to be at least 10 pounds before they do heart surgery and sometime after that if they need to they will fix his omphalocele.  His heart is pumping too much blood for his lungs to handle so they are trying to fix that so his lungs don't get hurt.  

I am setting this up for the family.  Nolan's mom is going to stay by his bedside until he is released, which could be late October.  This is leaving her from being able to work.  As for Nolan's grandparents, they are going to be traveling back and forth to be with her on the weekends.  I am hoping that this will help them get on their feet.  God bless everyone.
