I'm reaching out to you regarding a very dear friend of mine, Shifra, who has found herself in a desperate situation. I know Shifra and her family for many years. Finances have always been a struggle. Both she and her husband hold down jobs; however, their income is not enough to cover their daily expenses. To make things worse, one of their children was recently diagnosed with a debilitating disease requiring chemo therapy. Shifra is juggling both being a parent to her sick son, accompanying him to his hospital visits and being there for the other kids as they struggle with their own reactions to this. The situation is worsening. Shifra is a respectable person and would not choose to go through this avenue and reach out publicly; however, she also understands that in order to save her family she has no choice but to do what's necessary.
