Hi,

My name is Pat Kennedy from Carlow Town.

In March 2026, I will be travelling as a volunteer with the Irish charity, Freeland Projects, to a small township called Vrygrond, 20km outside Cape Town, South Africa. The charity is dedicated to facilitating the construction of schools and secure housing in this area, providing children with safe environments for learning and growth.
I am delighted to be joining this great team of volunteers on their next project. During our time there, we plan to build a sensory room, cinema room, library, safe covered-in playground, a new toilet block and kitchen facilities in an existing Community Safe House previously built by Freeland Projects. These new facilities will benefit and enhance the lives of vulnerable children who have been neglected, abandoned or abused.
I am really looking forward to being involved in the fundraising and completion of this valuable and much needed project as I believe it is the right of every child to live and play in a safe environment.

All the funds raised will go towards the completion of this project.

Thank you very much for your kind support, it is much appreciated
