All summer I have been raising money to help my students travel to Washington DC. I raised $875 and put it into my work/computer bag so I could put it in my DC trip account at the school I teach at.
What happened next was very dumb on my part. I put the bag in my trunk as I shopped for school supplies for my daughter and my classroom. I then put the school supplies on top of my computer bag.
I knew I was dropping off the school supplies on Monday, so I did not want to drag them all in the house just to drag them back out to the car. That was dumb of me, because I forgot my computer bag with the money was also in the trunk.
Sunday night, my car was broken into. He took my computer, but most importantly the money for the trip.
I feel I let everyone down. Because of my mistake, students will suffer. If you can, would you consider helping my students?
