C-ville Victim Fund: Star Peterson

Star Peterson, a 37-year-old mother, was seriously injured while protesting against hate in Charlottesville, VA on August 12, 2017. She was one of the 20 mowed down by a terrorist driving a car into the crowd.
She sustained extensive damage to her legs and almost lost a foot. She needs help paying for non-medical expenses related to her injury.
I've been close friends with Star for over 20 years. I was shocked when I heard about the violence in Charlottesville, when I saw videos of what was going on in the streets, and became worried when I could not get a hold of her. Eventually I reached her in the ICU, where she was recovering from her first surgery.
All funds will go directly to Star to pay for ongoing expenses.

What happened was that these pages were set up on the same day by two different friends in different locations. We want to maximize the giving and not lose any social media shares.
