I obtained this incurable degenerative disorder from being prescribed a mental health medication, Risperidone, for eight (8) years.I currently have not been on Risperdone for (5) months and my symptoms continue to get worse. I have been on several different medications in an attempt to subside the symptoms and none of them have been beneficial. I have also tried Chinese herbal remedies and acupuncture. My last option, as of right now, is brain surgery at which the doctors are not even 100% sure that it would alleviate the symptoms at all. I am having several other health issues that the doctors can not figure out what the cause is, such as, rapid uncontrolable weight loss and walking on my tip toes later in the evening and into the night. I have no insurance and am currently without a job. My family has been helping me as much as they can with my medical bills but there are still things that they do not have the finances for, testing, procedures, surgeries, medications, and past and current medical bills. My condition, according to the doctors, if it continues to progress at the rate it has been these past 7 months, will cause me not to be able to care for myself within 2-4 years. I need to find an answer where this disorder will not debilitate me because I am now a father. My first child, my son Kayden Andrew P. was born on August 1st, 2014 at 4AM CT. One of my biggest concerns prior to his birth was my fear that I would not be able to hold him when he was born because of my movements being too bad.
