This is a picture of Jamie. She is 65 years young, never married, only brother died in 2014, and parents long past and wheelchair confined. Jamie is a Juvenile Diabetic; who also is blind because of an operation that failed . . . leaving her blind in one eye and about a 20% vision in the other about 12 years ago. The operation was to save one of her legs, but was a total failure leaving her blind and crippled. Has had at least 3 additional operations on her legs with very little success. She is now living on borrowed time. The wheelchair is using now was a donation about 5 years ago, hoping when she turned 65 (Sept 2019) Medicare would provide a new one. However, they wanted an additional $5,000 as a co-pay. With our research, we found we could have a custom built chair for about the same price, hence the request for go fund me help. Jamie also suffers from very arthritic hands and fingers which she cannot use on the wheels to move herself - she uses her feet to push and pull herself through her home. This is extremely urgent and can use your help as she has slipped out of this chair even this past month and could not get help until she drug herself to the phone for my help. Which in her mind took forever! We are trying to get this money raised within the next 30 days for custom building her order and have it usable by Christmas. Thank you for everyone's help!
