Matthew Cole, the head coach of the Jesuit Jr Marauders Jr Pee Wee football team in Sacramento, has always believed in giving back to his community. Coaching kids ages 8 to 11, he noticed that the training sleds available were too large for the younger players, making it difficult for them to practice safely and effectively. Determined to help his team, he took it upon himself to design and build a sled perfectly sized for junior players, using his own resources and time.
After seeing the positive impact on his own team—helping the kids develop proper technique, build strength and endurance, and practice running plays—he realized that many other junior football programs in the Sacramento area face the same challenge. With the season already underway, these teams urgently need equipment that fits their players so they can train safely and reach their full potential. Matt is now committed to building and donating these custom sleds to any local teams in need, purchasing the supplies, assembling the sleds, and delivering them himself.
Your support will help cover the cost of materials needed to build and donate these training sleds. Every contribution will directly provide young athletes with the tools they need to grow, learn, and enjoy the game. Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of Sacramento’s youth football players.
