Justice for my murdered son!

Amber Andrews was pregnant with their son BD when she and Brandon Duran married, June 6, 2006, the date Andrews wanted as a wedding date (666). Brandon bought a home in Las Vegas, Nevada for their lives together. But it was an ill-fated marriage,   Amber was unfaithful, violent, drugged-- an unfit spouse. Divorce proceedings followed a year later. They battled for custody of their son.  In the summer of 2011 Amber’s lifestyle  and violations of court orders not to remove BD from Nevada resulted  in that Court granting, after several years and many hearings, sole legal and physical custody to Brandon. Brandon’s mother, Cyndi Wear,  a  San Diego resident since her own troubled  childhood, helped her son with raising BD from the day he was born. Brandon was a highly skilled union member, as a  construction foreman he worked on several major building sites around San Diego and Nevada.  In December 2011,  he came to Twenty Nine Palms, California for work, in April 2012 when that concluded he returned to Ramona,  San Diego County.  In July, 2012, a year after Brandon had been granted sole custody and less than a month after his birthday, Amber put in motion a sociopathic  plan with her doting and gullible boyfriend, Justin Hammer, to lure Brandon out from his home in San Diego County. Amber spun her web of lies with Brandon, telling him it was just to be a short visit to bring their son to Oklahoma for a few days before first grade was to begin for BD in Ramona. These lies were her contrived  'reconciliation', Brandon longed for their family to heal, for his son to have a normal life with loving parents.  He believed, in spite of massive doubts, enough of what she told him to take the chance to reunite.  He seemed to know his life was in danger. The three of them drove out to Oklahoma.   Then, following the details of their plot, Amber and  Justin  murdered Brandon August 7, 2012. They tried to hide evidence of the crime, but their plan was foiled and Justin went to jail while Amber looked on.  We are told to come pick up BD by a state investigator interviewing Amber's family.  While waiting to board a connecting plane in Los Angeles we find we were lied to again-Amber's family is trying to gain custody, the next  battle  begins with a guardianship petition  filed to appoint Amber’s sister and her then husband as guardians of BD. The petition, filed while we unknowingly sit in LA waiting for our plane, falsely asserts Cyndi is unfit for placement.   This  would become a 3 year battle over the custody and placement of BD which involved Cyndi, Amber, the maternal aunt and grandmother of BD and the State of Oklahoma. Some of the time BD lives with Cyndi, then she is forced to return him to Oklahoma by court order.  Hammer is convicted in the first degree murder in  July 2014 and is serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole. The District Attorney’s office however is slow to bring a complaint against Amber until Cyndi, Oklahoma witnesses and family provide Grand Jury testimony . We have to wait months for the Jury to meet, but finally in April 2015 Amber is arrested, for what she did to Cyndi's son and BD's father, with the Grand Jury's indictment for murder, conspiracy to commit a felony and desecration of a body.   Amber’s trial is presently set for September 2016. Amber stated publicly at the time of her arrest that she had finally gotten custody of her son after a 32 month battle and asked the court to let her go home! Worse,  BD  was living with Amber when she was arrested. The contested Guardianship proceedings then heat up,  the trial  begins  in August 2015 and ultimately concludes  in October. After tremendous legal  and travel expenses and intense courtroom stress,  in  October   2015 Cyndi is adjudged to be THE APPROPRIATE GUARDIAN  for BD. He was finally brought home to California  on  December 18, 2015 and lives with Cyndi and family now.  Justice comes with a huge financial burden, in that from July 2012 to December 2015 there were fourteen trips to Oklahoma involving the custody battle and the criminal proceedings. Each trip, with airfare, lodging, food and a rented car averaged out to $3,000.00 in expense.  Legal fees  incurred by Cynthia and family are in excess of $50,000.00.  The total cost, with a jury trial for Amber still to come, is over $92,000.00.   There has been abundant media involvement, we look forward to the end of this chapter, to start fresh and re-build.  We have legal fees and costs  that cripple our family with debt. You stand up for what's right, no matter what the cost!  Thank you for your love and support, emotional, financial or otherwise!  For further information about this ordeal, see  articles in www.paulsvalleydailydemocrat.com and wynnewood gazette  see also
