Curtis Bawtinheimer campaign

A special person to Source Energy Services needs our help.

Curtis Bawtinheimer has over 16 years experience managing trucks in the oil and gas industry and has been an employee of Venom for 4 years. Curtis is an integral member of our logistics team and has contributed to the growth and success of Source’s logistics management. Since November 2015 Curtis has directly dispatched ~14,626 loads, which translates to 614,292 MT of sand and in that same timeframe, Venom has moved 32,301 loads for Source translating to 1,356,622 mm MT of sand.

When Source began trucking delivery of proppant from our terminals to wellsites there were only 2 Source dispatchers and only 2 Venom 24/7 dispatch operation employees. Curtis has been vital to Source’s growth and has spent countless hours on the phone with our team going over the details of wellsite deliveries, driver challenges and frac operations. It’s because of Curtis’ experience and knowledge that we were able to quickly grow our logistics operations. Venom has been Source’s trusted trucking partner and their reliable performance is why we continue to use their services for some of our most valued customers.

Curtis’ health problems started in July when he was admitted into the ICU at the Red Deer hospital for kidney and organ failure. From there Curtis was transferred to the Edmonton Heart Institute where he is today. Currently, Curtis is awaiting a heart transplant and in the meantime is using an AICD defibrillator and VAD mechanical pump attached to the right side of his heart to keep him going until the transplant. Every day is a new day with continued stress on Curtis’ health and mental wellbeing. He is thankful to be surrounded by his family and friends as they help him adjust and learn about his new medical needs.

Just like Curtis was there to help Source through our logistic operation growing pains, we now want to help him and his family. Curtis and his family (his wife Cheryl and three kids, Landon Jesse and Shaelyn) have put their lives on hold, including Cheryl’s small business, to move to Edmonton for Curtis to undergo treatment and surgery. They are now in Edmonton and need assistance to support Curtis’ medical needs, housing costs, and loss of income.

As a company Source will match all donations received through the GoFundMe campaign.

There is no donation limit, any amount is very much appreciated.

On behalf of Source, and the Bawtinheimer family we graciously thank you for your support.
