Many of you have been impacted by John, whether what you received from him was a tattoo, drink, or high five, his spirit is infectious and resonates with anyone who meets him.
In April 2014, John was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma, an extremely rare cancer that targets the smooth muscles. Due to the rarity of this cancer (only 5% of sarcoma cancers, which themselves are extremely rare), treatment by a Leiomyosarcoma specialist is vital for progression.
Its no secret that medical bills are extremely costly and add up quickly. This sudden expense is difficult for anyone to take on, but it hits especially hard for someone who makes their living as an artist.
John has the biggest heart of anyone I know and is always the first one to help anyone in need. I could list you a novel of the times that he's rescued animals and humans, donated money and food to those in need, held doors open and carried bags for half of NYC, but that would take all day. He always puts others before himself and that is why I created this fundraiser for him.
