Cure for PLN

As many of you know, Erika's dad has a serious heart condition. He has a mutation in the phospholamban (PLN) gene which has significantly decreased his heart fuction and makes him prone to dangerous heart arrythmias. PLN is a genetic condition so there is a likely possiblity that Erika or her brothers may also be affected in the future. The PLN Foundation has been established to eliminate the life-threatening PLN heart disease through research and to support those currently afflicted. Currently the only cure for PLN is a heart transplant. Through the PLN Foundation's incredible work, we are getting closer to a cure.
