<div><strong>My Story:</strong> <em>Hello, I am Aubrey Shannon. I was born with a congenital heart defect (Hypertrophic-cardiomyopathy). My whole life is a blur of hospital visits, appointments, treatments, and anxiety. As I grow older, my condition worsens. I've learned that heart disease doesn't just affect the heart, it affects every part of your life.</em>

<div><em>But here's the thing, I'm very lucky. Thanks to medical advancements funded by organizations such as AHA (American Heart Association), I have treatments, to help me live my life as normally as possible. I'm here today. Now I want to give that same hope to others as well. </em>
