CURA - Open Air Music and Art Space in Berlin

CURA ist ein Raum für Begegnung. Für den Sommer schaffen wir auf einer Asphaltfläche mitten im Zentrum Berlins einen Ort, an dem es all das gibt, was man dort sonst nicht finden würde: Menschen, Kultur und Natur. 

Ein eigentlich rein zweckmäßiger Raum wird neu definiert: zu einem Space für Kunst, Musik und Gemeinschaft. Ein Parkplatz wird zu einem Ort für Open-Airs, Ausstellungen, Performances und Filme. Über die nächsten Monate wollen wir bei CURA mehr als 25 Events veranstalten. Wir kreieren und kuratieren eine Fläche, auf der wir gemeinsam Visionen für eine progressive Stadtgesellschaft entwickeln können, die offen, inklusiv und nachhaltig ist. 

Die Kollektive SEV Berlin, ROH Art und das Vinylwohnzimmer stehen hinter dem Peojekt CURA. Gemeinsam sind wir dabei die 1.800m2 große Fläche direkt am U-Bahnhof Warschauer Straße zu einem offenen Raum zu machen, um gemeinsam Wege zu finden, unsere Stadt zu gestalten.

Jede Spende wird CURA helfen, unsere Communities in diesem Sommer zusammenzubringen. Wir werden uns bei allen mit einem Shoutout in den Social Medias für eure Unterstützung bedanken. Für Spenden von mehr als 40€ haben wir uns diese Supporter-Pakete überlegt: 

1. CURA-Supporter-Package (40€+) Gästeliste bei einem CURA-Open-Air-Event und ein CURA (Curate, Connect, Include) T-Shirt. 

2. CURA Artist Package (120€+) CURA T-Shirt + Gästeliste für fünf CURA-Events (beinhaltet: ausgewählte Open-Air-Musikveranstaltungen, Kunstausstellungen, Produzier/DJ/Kunst-Workshops und Outdoor-Cinema) + USB mit CURA-Playlist 

3. CURA Summer Pass (300€+) (Nur 10 verfügbar) Zugang zu allen CURA-Veranstaltungen im Jahr 2021 

4. CURA-Projektsponsor (500€+) erhalten eine Ihnen gewidmete Pflanze (mit Dankesschild) im CURA Urban Garden + exklusives Abendessen/Event mit dem CURA-Team

Wohin geht das Geld: 

Die Umgestaltung der CURA-Fläche ist bereits voll im Gange!

Aber die Fläche ist riesig und wir arbeiten Schritt für Schritt an neuen Elementen und Bereichen, die die Besucher erleben können. Wir werden die Einnahmen aus dieser Kampagne für diese Punkte verwenden: 

-Überdachte Ausstellungsflächen für Kunst
-Möblierung (Sitzinseln und Liegeflächen) 
-Beleuchtungselemente
-Sonnensegel und Wasserdichte Konstruktionen
-Dekoration
-Bepflanzung der Fläche
-Budget zur Unterstützung der künstlerischen Visionen der gebuchten Künstler und Musiker

CURA is a place to connect. This summer, we’re transforming a parking lot in the center of Berlin into an urban playground where people, culture and nature can come together. 

A space that was purely functional is redefined: into a space for art, music and community. A parking lot becomes a place for open-air music events, art exhibitions, workshops, performances, and an open-air cinema. We are curating a space where together we can develop visions for a progressive urban society that is open, inclusive and sustainable. 

CURA is a collaboration between collectives SEV Berlin, ROH Art and Vinylwohnzimmer. Together, along with volunteers from communities across Berlin we are transforming a 1.800m2 parking lot directly behind the subway station Warschauer Straße. We can’t wait to host you in the new space.

Any donation will help CURA bring together our community this summer. We’ll give everyone a shout out on social media to say thanks for your support. For donations of more than 40€ we are offering the following packages:

1. CURA Supporter Package (40€+) Guest list at one CURA open air music event and a CURA (Curate, Connect, Include) T-shirt. 

2. CURA Artist Package (120€+) CURA T-shirt + Access to five CURA events (includes: select open air music events, art exhibitions, music/art workshops, and outdoor cinema events) + USB with CURA playlist

Use of funds: 

The transformation of the CURA space is already underway! 

The area is huge, but we are working step-by-step on new elements for visitors to experience. We will use the funds from this campaign on the following items: 

-Covered exhibition areas for art
-Renaturation / urban garden space
-Furniture (seating islands and lounging space) 
-Lighting elements
-Shade structures and waterproof structures 
-Decorations 
-Budget to support the artistic visions of resident artists and musicians
