As you can imagine ...
I have been conflicted and freaked out about my husband's public breakdown and announcement on Facebook. I am not one to bare my soul on social media nor one to ask for help. But I have created this fundraiser because Pete's openness has struck a chord with many people and some have offered to help by way of donation.
Pete is the kindest and most gentle soul I know but this world is so difficult for him. If you know him, you know how hard he has worked in the teaching field, nursing field, and sales assisting . He had the focus and dedication to write and publish his book "Dear Lilly", and has run marathons. He does not sit and wait for things to magically happen.
He fights his demons daily and does his best everyday to hang on. He is loved by his family immensely! But as long as i have known him, he has had a deep desire to connect with people, to share, and to help others through his music, writing, speaking and his personal stories.
I believe in all of the beautiful things Pete has to offer this world. His music, his book, his stories, his transparent emotions. Together we are formulating a way to make this all possible for him but it does require funds to get rolling.
Please only contribute if you have it to spare as I believe these platforms should be used mainly for medical expenses (although I can justify this as mental health;)
The funds raised here will be used directly on the set up and launch of a Dad Rock website/vlog and eventual tour.
