Culture Books: Book Donations and Events

My passion has always been with teaching kids and showing them the world! Within my 14 years of teaching, I have seen a lot of changes and not a lot of them good. In the classroom, the fun is being sucked out of school and it feels like we are raising testing machines. I want to change that. My goal is to bridge the gap between literacy and culture! Any funding assistance we get will go to providing more books to kids, connecting cultures and building literacy confidence We will also use them to make memories, and by that I mean having a videographer/photographer and a website designer so we can keep parents, students and friends updated on what is happening and has happened with Culture Books. All of this will go a long way to helping up reach our goals. I am also hoping to use any extra to save and put towards future quarterly events, and soon summer reading camps and travels with our students! I want to help them see what is our farther than just Tennessee. Cultural Awareness, Literacy Confidence, Reading Camp, Cultural Libraries, Kids excited to learn again! It is all coming!
