Culebra, Puerto Rico

100% of funds raised will go to Culebra residents and non profits.
The original intent of this fundraiser was to purchase a desalination machine for the island. The cost of the machine combined with the uncertainty of it actually arriving (shipping delays & problems from the States), has put the purchase on hold. We are still continuing this fundraiser to raise money to meet the Island's needs in this long recovery effort. Water, electricity and cell service still have not been restored. Communication is very limited. Culebra is much better off than the big island, but still is suffering from the major damage of Hurricane Maria. We will be in contact with residents to determine the best use of donations. Thank you for your help. #culebrastrong

Relief efforts are moving too slow. They need help fast. I'm looking to purchase a portable desalination machine to provide potable water for cooking and drinking water to the island of Culebra, Puerto Rico. This machine is capable of producing 150 gallons of water a day from sea water and can be run off a small generator. Regardless if I'm able to buy this unit, all proceeds will go directly to benefit relief efforts on the island of Culebra.
